Responsibilities

As a Senior Node.js Developer (m/f/d), you will design and build scalable backend services that power our payment platform. Working with contemporary cloud technologies, event-driven architectures and AWS, you will develop secure, high-performance solutions while actively contributing to architectural decisions and the continuous evolution of our platform.

What You’ll Do
Professional software development using Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SAM), REST APIs, and event-driven architectures
AI supported development process with Claude
Active shaping of the software architecture and contributions to design decisions
Developing, testing, and documenting the planned functionality
Working in a small, self-reliant Scrum team




Documentation of planning and implementation processes in the project management software Jira and Confluence

Desired Candidate Profile
Several years of qualified experience as a Node.js Backend Developer.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
Solid understanding of software architecture and backend design principles.
In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL, including SQL optimization and query performance tuning.
Solid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures and message queues (AWS SQS or RabbitMQ).
Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SAM).
Proficiency in Docker and Docker Compose.
Familiarity with Redis and caching concepts.
Proficient English.
