Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer to ensure a secure working environment at construction sites by implementing safety procedures, monitoring compliance, conducting inspections, and minimizing workplace risks and accidents.

Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor site safety policies, procedures and regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards and risks.
Ensure proper use of PPE such as helmets, safety shoes, harnesses, gloves and reflective jackets.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety training and awareness sessions for workers and staff.
Monitor safety practices for activities such as working at height, scaffolding, excavation, electrical work and material handling.
Investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses and prepare reports.
Maintain safety records, inspection reports and statutory documentation.
Ensure contractors and workers follow required safety standards.
Conduct emergency preparedness drills and maintain emergency response procedures.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers,



contractors and workers to resolve safety issues.
Monitor housekeeping and ensure protected storage and handling of construction materials.
Support compliance with applicable construction safety and labour regulations.

Candidate Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Safety Engineering / Industrial Safety / Civil Engineering or relevant qualification.
3–7 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in construction/real estate projects.
Robust knowledge of construction site safety practices and risk assessment.
Knowledge of PPE, work-at-height safety, scaffolding, excavation and electrical safety.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct safety training and toolbox meetings.
Relevant safety certifications such as NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA will be an added advantage.
