We are currently hiring for the position of Planning Intern at our Dabaspet Facility. Below are the details for the role:

Academic Background
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering

Work Experience
Fresher, or up to 1 year of relevant experience

Preferred Industry
Manufacturing Industry

/ Responsibilities

General Purpose

Supports the Planner / Operations Manager in production scheduling, material tracking, and shortage resolution for gear hobbing machines and subassemblies strengthening 5S discipline and on-time dispatch through daily, data-driven follow-up.

Main / Essential Tasks
Assist in developing the weekly/monthly Master Production Schedule (MPS) and rolling 14 week shop-floor schedule
Track material availability and flag shortage risk before workshop release
Maintain a live shortage register (part number, subassembly, required date, supplier status, owner)
Coordinate with Purchase,



Stores, Machine Shop, QA, and Production to resolve material issues and confirm delivery commitments
Support tracking of planning KPIs on-time scheduling, shortage reduction, dispatch reliability
Assist in implementing lean planning practices — Kanban, VMI, safety stock norms
Report daily/weekly assembly plans (Plan vs. Actuals) and shortage impact to the Operations Manager

Skills Required
MS Excel proficiency; exposure to ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) - Optional
Analytical and detail-oriented, comfortable coordinating across departments
Willingness to work on the shop floor with production and assembly teams

Please note that we are seeking fresh graduates who have completed their degree and are interested in joining our Dabaspet facility as an Intern. Candidates must hold a B.E. / B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
