Job Summary

Position: Sr. Manager - Purchase

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 8 - 15 Years

Industries: Plastics / Rubber

Responsibilities
Manage procurement of polymers, plastic raw materials, additives, masterbatches and packaging materials.
Develop and implement strategic sourcing and cost-saving plans.
Identify, evaluate and develop domestic and international suppliers.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, contracts and delivery schedules.
Monitor commodity prices, market trends and raw material fluctuations.
Ensure timely material availability as per production requirements.
Maintain optimum inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess stock.
Coordinate with production, planning, warehouse, QA, finance and logistics teams.
Monitor supplier quality, delivery performance and commercial terms.
Handle import procurement and international supplier coordination.




Prepare procurement MIS, cost analysis and supplier performance reports.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and requirements.

Required Skills
Strong knowledge of plastic and polymer raw materials.
Excellent vendor development and negotiation skills.
Good understanding of commodity markets and pricing.
Robust sourcing and cost-control abilities.
Experience in domestic and international procurement.
Positive inventory planning and analytical skills.
Proficiency in ERP and MS Excel.
Robust communication and team leadership skills.

Required Qualification Any Graduation + MBA - Supply Chain
