Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates with robust hands-on experience in milk procurement and direct farmer management, particularly from the dairy / Agri / Food industry.

Preference: Candidates who have handled large-scale milk procurement operations and farmer networks at a zonal/regional level, with solid field exposure and team-management experience.

Role & responsibilities
Lead milk procurement operations across the assigned zone.
Strengthen relationships with farmers, Milk Collection Centres (MCCs), and procurement teams.
Drive milk volume, quality and procurement efficiency across the zone.
Develop and implement strategies for farmer engagement, retention and milk productivity.
Monitor milk procurement, quality parameters, pricing, cost and daily procurement performance.
Ensure effective functioning of MCCs, BMCs and milk collection infrastructure.
Coordinate with Veterinary, Dairy Development, QA, Operations, Logistics and Sales teams as required.




Identify opportunities to improve farmer base, procurement coverage and milk availability.
Lead and develop the zonal procurement team and ensure accountability for targets.
Monitor competitor activities and market conditions impacting milk procurement.
Drive initiatives for farmer loyalty, productivity enhancement and sustainable milk sourcing.

Must-have:
Experience in milk procurement / farmer relationship management.
Strong exposure to village-level milk collection and farmer networks.
Experience managing milk procurement teams and operations at a regional/zonal level.
Good understanding of milk quality, procurement processes and farmer engagement.
Fluency in Marathi is mandatory, with the ability to communicate effectively with local farmers and stakeholders.
Solid field orientation and willingness to extensively engage with the farmer community.
