Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients as per hospital protocols and prescribed treatment plans.
Assess and monitor patients' vital signs, clinical condition, and response to treatment.
Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and other treatments as prescribed by the physician.
Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation, including patient charts, medication records, intake/output, and nursing notes.
Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, dressings, minor procedures, and emergency interventions.
Monitor patients before and after procedures and immediately report any deterioration or abnormal findings.
Maintain proper infection prevention and control practices, including hand hygiene and use of PPE.
Ensure proper care and handling of medical equipment and nursing supplies.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the assigned ward/unit.
Identify and promptly escalate medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
Provide patient and attendant education regarding medication, diet, hygiene, treatment, and discharge instructions.
Assist in admission, transfer,



and discharge procedures.
Ensure proper identification of patients before medication administration and procedures.
Follow medication safety principles and hospital policies.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
Coordinate effectively with doctors, nursing staff, technicians, pharmacy, laboratory, housekeeping, and other departments.
Participate in emergency duties, clinical rounds, and shift handovers.
Maintain adequate stock of medicines, consumables, and nursing supplies in the assigned area.
Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, statutory requirements, and accreditation-related procedures.
Participate in training, continuing nursing education, drills, and quality-improvement activities.
Report incidents, medication errors, patient safety concerns, and other clinical issues through the prescribed reporting mechanism.
Perform any other nursing-related duties assigned by the Nursing In-charge / Nursing Superintendent.
