STAFF NURSE-Ward

Main Objective of the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver protected, skilled, and patient-centered nursing care in accordance with clinical standards and hospital policies.
Perform nursing assessments, prepare individualized care plans, monitor vital signs, and maintain accurate documentation.
Implement doctors’ orders, administer medications safely, and monitor for adverse reactions.
Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, examinations, dressings, and emergency situations.
Coordinate investigations, blood transfusions, admissions, transfers, discharges, and interdepartmental services.
Provide antenatal, postnatal, newborn care, breastfeeding support, and patient/family education.
Prepare patients for labor,



delivery, surgery, and postoperative care; assist in managing obstetric and gynecological emergencies.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including CTG monitoring and newborn assessments.
Maintain infection control practices, patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with NABH/NE standards.
Manage ward supplies, inventory, handovers, quality indicators, and resource utilization.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including LDR, OT, NICU, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Billing, and Support Services.
Participate in training programs and stay updated with current nursing practices and protocols.
