Key Responsibilities
End-to-End UX design
Own the user experience design from merchant onboarding to payments, refunds, reconciliation, and dispute workflows in collaboration with solution lead.
UI Design &
Prototyping
Create wireframes, interactive mock-ups, and hi-fidelity prototypes for mobile, web, and embedded POS interfaces using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
Design System &
Governance
Develop reusable UI components and style guides aligned with SBI Payments brand and compliance needs; enforce accessibility and consistency standards.
Compliance-Aligned Product Development
Lead implementation of regulatory systems, CRM journeys, and merchant acquiring, reconciliation engines aligned with guidelines.
Solution dispute and refund workflows that integrate seamlessly with NPCI/RBI modules.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with solution, strategy, engineering, compliance, and business teams to ensure UX solutions align with regulatory formats (like NPCI file types) and technical constraints.
Performance Metrics &
Continuous Improvement




Analyse usability data and merchant feedback to iterate on designs and optimize KPIs such as task completion rate, drop-off, and satisfaction.

Required Skills &
Experience
Experience in UI/UX design, preferably in BFSI, payments, fintech, or PSU-led settings.
Solid portfolio showcasing responsive/mobile-first design, interaction flows, and merchant-facing products.
Experience with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and prototyping/testing platforms.
Solid understanding of agile workflows, journey mapping, information architecture, and UI systems.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive designs.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PoS systems, UPI channels, BBPS, or regulated payment ecosystems.
Familiarity with accessibility standards, design system governance, and rapid prototyping.
Degree in Design, HCI, or related field, additional certifications a plus.
