Position : Thermal Desing Engineer - EV
Design and develop thermal management systems for Battery Electric Vehicles and Hybrid Electric Vehicles.
Understand thermal system schematics, component interfaces, coolant flow paths, and refrigerant circuits.
Develop cooling circuits for
High-voltage battery packs
Electric drive motors
Inverters
On-board chargers
DC-DC converters
Power electronics
HVAC systems
Chillers and heat exchangers
Support component positioning and integration of chillers, condensers, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, reservoirs, and HVAC units.
Optimize the thermal system layout considering thermal performance, packaging feasibility, serviceability, assembly, and vehicle-level requirements.
Develop coolant hoses, refrigerant hoses, AC lines, thermal pipes, and associated connection systems.
Perform 3D hose routing in CATIA V5 based on thermal schematics, vehicle packaging layout, and interface requirements.
• Define hose geometry considering:
Minimum bend radius




Hose diameter and wall thickness
Packaging clearances
Agile movement
Engine or e-Drive roll
Suspension movement
Thermal expansion
Assembly sequence
Serviceability
Manufacturing feasibility
Design formed hoses and routed hose assemblies between thermal components.
Develop hose end connections, quick connectors, couplings, valves, tees, reducers, and branching joints.
Define clipping and clamping strategies to control hose movement, vibration, sagging, and interference.
Participate in hose material selection based on coolant compatibility, pressure, temperature, environmental exposure, durability, and OEM specifications.
Work with suppliers to finalize hose construction, end fittings, connectors, protection sleeves, and manufacturing processes.
Create hose definition drawings using coordinate points and other applicable dimensional control methods.
