Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced DGFT Consultant with practical knowledge of Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), DGFT procedures, export-import schemes and client documentation.

The candidate will be responsible for handling DGFT-related assignments, preparing applications, managing documentation and providing consultancy support to clients.

Key Responsibilities
Handling DGFT & Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) related assignments
Preparing and filing applications on the DGFT portal
Handling EPCG, Advance Authorisation, DFIA, RoDTEP / RoSCTL and other FTP schemes
Handling EPCG Export Obligation (EO), amendments, redemption and closure
Preparing and verifying applications, declarations and supporting documents
Handling DGFT queries, deficiencies and follow-ups
Coordinating with clients for required documents and information
Understanding and interpreting FTP, HBP, DGFT notifications and public notices
Conducting research on recent government schemes, policy updates and export-import advantages




Preparing client-specific solutions based on applicable FTP provisions
Maintaining case records and tracking ongoing assignments

Required Skills
Strong practical knowledge of DGFT & FTP
Practical experience in EPCG / Advance Authorisation
Knowledge of DFIA, RoDTEP / RoSCTL will be an advantage
Positive documentation and drafting skills
Ability to understand and interpret DGFT notifications and policies
Good client-handling and communication skills
Strong research and analytical skills
Proficiency in MS Excel & MS Office
Ability to independently manage multiple client assignments

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has hands-on experience in DGFT/FTP work and understands the practical process of applications, documentation, compliance, client coordination and follow-ups.

Candidates with only theoretical knowledge and no practical DGFT/FTP exposure may not be suitable.
