Candidate Should be CFD Engineer with StarCCM+ Tool Experience in Locomotive HVAC

Role & Responsibilities
End-to-End Simulation Workflow: Independently handle complete computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation workflows from initial setup to final reporting.
Model Preparation & Meshing: Perform complex CAD model simplification, geometry cleanup, and generate high-quality meshes using StarCCM+.
HVAC Airflow Analysis: Conduct comprehensive CFD analyses focusing on airflow distribution and pressure losses through HVAC units.
Railway Setting Modeling: Analyze and simulate lateral airflow loads specific to railway and rolling stock environmental conditions.
Component Simulations: Execute detailed fan performance simulations and evaluate porous media pressure losses for components such as filters and cooling coils.
Data Interpretation: Extract, analyze, and interpret complex simulation results to evaluate design performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate simulation data into actionable insights and present findings to engineering and design teams to support product decisions.

Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience Level: 9 to 12 years of dedicated,



hands-on experience in CFD analysis and simulation engineering.
Educational Background: Bachelors degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering. (A Master's degree in Thermal or Fluid Dynamics is highly advantageous).
Software Proficiency: Must possess advanced, expert-level proficiency in StarCCM+ for both meshing and solving.
Core Domain Expertise: Deep technical understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and HVAC system behaviors.
Specialized Knowledge: Proven track record working with porous media modeling, fan simulations, and external aerodynamic loads (specifically railway/lateral airflow loads).
Added Advantages (Nice to Have):
Experience automating simulation workflows by creating macros in StarCCM+.
Specific prior experience calculating HVAC unit CFD metrics.
Familiarity with Propane (gas) propagation and dispersion analysis.
Work Style: Robust analytical problem-solver capable of working independently while communicating technical findings clearly to non-simulation engineers.
