Cyber Security Engineer –

Job Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze security alerts, incidents, and potential threats.
Identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate security measures.
Perform security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures.
Investigate and respond to security incidents and threats.
Monitor network traffic, systems, and applications for suspicious activity.
Work with SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security tools.
Support incident response, threat detection, and security investigations.
Conduct security audits and maintain security documentation.
Collaborate with IT and development teams to improve overall security posture.
Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.

Required Skills
Solid understanding of network security, information security, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, firewalls, and network protocols.
Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.




Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
Understanding of common vulnerabilities such as OWASP Top 10.
Basic knowledge of incident response and threat analysis.
Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
Positive analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
Experience with tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Qualys, Nessus, or Wireshark.
Knowledge of cloud security across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity with penetration testing and ethical hacking concepts.
Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
Cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CEH, CySA+, or CISSP are an advantage.

Qualification
B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/B.Sc. in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Relevant cybersecurity experience preferred.
