Job Summary:

We are looking for a Design Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in mechanical design, particularly in Jigs & Fixtures, Material Handling Equipment, and fabrication-based products. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SolidWorks, 2D drafting, design calculations, GD&T;, tolerances, and mechanical design development.

This is a full time, in office prospect in Pune with a reputed welding and manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities:
Study customer requirements and understand the complete scope of supply.
Prepare Draft GA (General Arrangement) drawings for customer approval.
Develop detailed mechanical designs using SolidWorks based on load calculations and motion requirements.
Perform necessary design and load calculations for mechanical components and assemblies.
Create accurate 2D manufacturing drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances,



machining symbols, and specifications.
Apply GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) as required for manufacturing and assembly.
Work on the design of Jigs, Fixtures, and Material Handling Equipment.
Perform and understand bearing selection and bearing calculations.
Understand gearbox calculations, gear ratios, and output speed calculations.
Ensure designs are suitable for fabrication, machining, assembly, and installation.
Coordinate with manufacturing and other technical teams to resolve design-related issues.
Review designs and drawings for accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with customer requirements.
