Position : Men’s Wear Designer - Limeroad

Experience : 2– 4 years of relevant experience in Men’s Wear Fashion / Retail Brand.

Role Overview
We are looking for a commercially driven Men’s Wear Designer, for T-shirt & Denim Category who can translate global and Indian fashion trends into affordable, trend-right, high-volume merchandise for a value retail customer.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of men’s fashion, commercial silhouettes, fabrics, colours, prints, graphics and fits, along with the ability to design products that balance fashion, price, quality and commercial viability.

Key Responsibilities
Trend & Market Research
Track upcoming trends across global and Indian fashion markets.
Create mood boards, colour palettes, trend boards and seasonal concepts.
Conduct regular competitor, market and store research across value/high-street brands.
Understand the value-retail customer and design products that have solid "mass-market appeal and sell-through potential".
Adapt premium/high-street trends into "affordable and commercially viable designs".
Work closely with the pattern, sampling,



sourcing and buying teams to convert designs into final products.
Maintain a strong understanding of cost, MOQ, fabric availability, construction and manufacturing feasibility.
Ensure designs deliver the right balance of fashion + price + quality + volume.

Sampling & Vendor Coordination
Work closely with vendors and sampling teams to ensure timely development of styles.
Follow up on sample timelines and ensure samples are developed as per the design brief.
Identify production challenges and suggest commercially viable alternatives.
Maintain the sampling and development tracker.

Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, prints and garment construction
Positive understanding of men’s fits and silhouettes
Ability to develop trend-led yet affordable products
Strong creative and conceptual thinking
Valuable technical knowledge and attention to detail
Strong communication and vendor coordination skills
Ability to work within tight timelines
Good understanding of costing and price architecture
