Financial Modeller Responsibilities and Core Skills
Build financial models in excel based on historical information and other available industry-specific operating metrics.
Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis with the intent to support investment activities and access business risk
Evaluate companies using various financial valuation methods, such as DCF, comparable company analysis, capital structure analysis etc.
Ensure the current models accuracy while enhancing the existing models quality.
Recommend and implement process improvement measures.
Identify key financial and non-financial risks and advise mitigants for those risks.
Update the financial models after each earnings rollout or other similar corporate actions.
Analyze and identify data required to support model tracking.
Develop template models to allow for quick economic project evaluation where possible
Preparing management presentations based on the outputs from financial models to support decision making.
Core Skills and Knowledge
Advanced excellent excel skills with valuable proficiency in using pre-defined formulas, creating charts, macros, what if analysis, pivot tables, VBA code etc. Also, knowledge of another programming language (such as Python and Power BI Skills)

Problem solving ability
Time management
Ability to build a model which is easy to understand
