Overview

We are seeking a skilled Linux Engineer with robust expertise in firewall technologies to lead the migration from traditional firewall appliances to VM-based open-source firewalls. This role is critical in strengthening the Bank’s network security posture while aligning with up-to-date, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Firewall Migration: Design and execute migration strategies from hardware firewall appliances to VM-based open-source firewall solutions.
VM Deployment: Deploy, configure, and optimize virtual machines running firewall stacks in accordance with the Bank’s security architecture.
Open Source Firewalls: Implement and maintain open-source firewall technologies ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
Security Monitoring: Integrate and manage intrusion detection and prevention systems, traffic analysis, and monitoring tools.
Collaboration: Work closely with network, security,



and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of firewall solutions.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, policies, and migration processes.

Required Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience in Linux engineering with a focus on firewall technologies.
Proven expertise in VM-based firewall deployment and configuration.
Strong knowledge of network security principles and firewall rule management.

Preferred Skills
Experience in open-source firewall migration projects within financial institutions.
Familiarity with cloud-native networking and containerized environments.
Solid troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
