Key Responsibilities
Own dark-store network design across multiple cities / regions, including coverage, density and expansion planning.
Plan optimal store locations based on demand, customer density, existing network coverage and operational constraints.
Design and optimize serviceability areas / polygons for individual dark stores.
Identify coverage gaps and quantify incremental OPD / demand potential from current stores or network changes.
Develop city-level network plans and scenarios for recent-city launches and existing-city optimization.
Work closely with Real Estate, Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to translate network plans into store launches.
Build and maintain standardized network planning frameworks, tools and dashboards.
Requirements
3–5 years of experience, preferably in q-commerce / food delivery / logistics network design.
Solid hands-on experience in dark-store network planning, site coverage, serviceability and polygon design across multiple cities / regions.
Experience working with large-scale network / demand datasets and translating data into actionable network decisions.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Big Query / SQL and Excel.
Hands-on experience with network planning and geospatial tools, including: Google Maps / Google Maps layers for catchment, coverage and location analysis
Big Query for analyzing demand, order and network data
Other GIS / mapping / network-design tools
New-generation AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc. to accelerate network analysis, modelling, data processing and automation
Comfortable working independently with data and tools to build network models, rather than relying solely on central analytics / data science teams.
Ability to communicate network recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders and drive execution with cross-functional teams.
