GJC is a rapidly growing consulting firm that exclusively supports Japanese corporations in establishing, operating, and expanding their businesses in India. We are looking for an experienced Corporate & Labour Laws Counsel with robust expertise in Indian labour laws, corporate advisory, and regulatory compliance to work closely with Japanese corporate clients and provide strategic legal guidance in a cross-border business setting.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a trusted legal advisor to Japanese corporate clients on Indian labour laws, corporate compliance, and employment-related matters.
Provide legal guidance on labour law compliance, employment regulations, statutory obligations, and corporate governance.
Lead client discussions and present legal advice in a clear, practical, and business-oriented manner.
Support foreign leadership in understanding and navigating Indian legal and compliance frameworks.
Draft, review, and advise on employment contracts, HR policies, compliance documentation, and legal opinions.
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, corporate laws, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams and clients on cross-border legal and compliance matters.
Build long-term relationships with international clients through qualified communication and cultural sensitivity.
Desired Candidate Profile
LL.B. / LL.M. from a recognized university.
Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Corporate Law with robust specialization in Indian Labour Laws.
Experience advising corporate clients on labour law compliance and employment regulations.
Excellent legal drafting, advisory, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with international clients.
Exposure to multinational or Japanese corporate clients will be an added advantage.
