Senior PHP (Laravel) Developer

Role Overview

As a Senior PHP (Laravel) Developer, you will take technical ownership of web applications and backend services. You will design maintainable solutions, improve performance and mentor junior developers.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain applications using PHP and Laravel.
Build secure and scalable REST APIs and backend services.
Take end-to-end technical ownership of assigned modules.
Translate requirements into technical designs and prototypes.
Integrate databases, APIs and third-party services.
Review code and maintain coding and security standards.
Diagnose defects and optimize application performance.




Write appropriate unit and integration tests.
Support and mentor junior developers.

Required Skills
3+ years of PHP web-application development experience.
Solid hands-on experience with Laravel.
Positive knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
Understanding of MVC, object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Knowledge of database design, indexing and query optimization.
Familiarity with Git and standard development workflows.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Good to Have
Experience with Laravel queues, events, caching and scheduled jobs.
Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with AWS, Azure or another cloud platform.
Knowledge of WordPress or another content-management system.
Familiarity with test-driven development.

Education

BE/B.Tech or an equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
