The Role in Brief

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager (TPM) in India to drive cloud-based software delivery for our higher education client. You will manage distributed engineering squads and ensure seamless global collaboration. This role requires deep, hands-on expertise with Java/Kotlin with Spring, React, PostgreSQL, and AWS to guide technical teams through implementation, debugging, and architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple India-based squads (contract and full time).
Coach teams on best practices, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Align priorities and facilitate smooth handoffs with U.S. engineering and product leaders.
Partner with U.S. engineering and product leaders to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
Participate in architecture/design reviews with architects and senior/junior engineers.
Assist with code reviews and troubleshooting

Oversee project lifecycle: planning, backlog grooming, estimation, sprint execution, and release coordination.
Monitor milestones and proactively resolve risks.
Represent India teams in cross-functional discussions; ensure transparency and timely status updates.
Report on KPIs to U.S. engineering leadership
Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and skill development.
Set a high standard for performance and accountability.

Basic Qualifications
8–10+ years in software engineering with full-stack development exposure.
5+ years in engineering/project management in distributed/global teams.
Proven track record of managing complex projects from discovery through deployment.

Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
