Role & responsibilities
Reads engineering drawing and sets up the milling machine, selecting tools, fixtures and cutting parameters.
Operates the machine to cut, drill or shape materials to accurate specifications.
Monitors the machining process and makes adjustments for speed, feed and quality.
Inspects finished parts using measuring instruments to ensure they meet tolerances.
Maintains the machine, follows safety protocols and keeps production records.
