Job Overview

We are looking for a Deputy Manager Maintenance (Mechanical) to manage mechanical maintenance activities at a food manufacturing plant. The role will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, breakdown management and smooth plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
Manage mechanical maintenance of plant machinery, utilities and production equipment.
Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.
Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize downtime and breakdowns.
Handle maintenance of process equipment, conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, boilers, HVAC/chillers and other utility equipment.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA)



for recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Plan maintenance schedules, shutdowns and overhauling activities.
Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Utility, Quality and EHS teams.
Manage maintenance spares, inventory, vendors and external service agencies.
Monitor maintenance KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, downtime and equipment availability.
Ensure compliance with plant safety, food safety and maintenance standards.
Lead and guide maintenance technicians and supervisors.
Maintain maintenance records, reports and documentation.
