Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Operations and Services team, specializing in the evaluation and appraisal of gold assets for loan processing. The role demands a thorough understanding of gold valuation techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate assessment and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the bank's gold loan portfolio by providing accurate appraisals that align with the bank's lending policies and contribute to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:-

- Conduct detailed physical inspection and verification of gold ornaments and items submitted as collateral for loan processing.
- Accurately assess the purity, weight, and market value of gold items using standardized testing methods and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies related to gold loan appraisal and documentation.




- Collaborate with the loan processing team to provide timely and accurate appraisal reports to facilitate loan disbursement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gold market trends, price fluctuations, and industry standards to inform valuation decisions.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, counterfeit items, or potential fraud during the appraisal process.
- Maintain detailed records of appraisals, including photographs, test results, and valuation reports for audit and reference purposes.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff on gold appraisal techniques and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with external vendors and assay labs when advanced testing or certification is required.
- Support the development and enhancement of appraisal procedures to improve accuracy and operational efficiency.
