The company is present in France and internationally, offering team members the opportunity to work in a globally minded environment rooted in local expertise.Role DescriptionWe are looking for a studio assistant of the creative director of Mii Collection. It is a full-time, on-site position based in Bardhaman (West Bengal, in our own workshop called sevenmillion workshop pvt ltd ).Your mission : Assist the brand’s artistic director in developing and overseeing new collections from the workshop in India· Research on fabric development, weaving, embroidery based on the creative direction.· Simulate embroidery and print placements on technical drawings· Oversee the development of launched designs with our patternmaker and/or draper.· Prepare technical files and technical drawings.· Monitor the development of embroidery samples and participate in the creation of embroidery designs in line with the artistic direction provided.· Participate in preparing fittings with the workshops: styling, measurements, fitting feedback, etc.· Monitor lead times· Color-match prints and weaves using Adobe software.· Monitor the development of screen-printing files in collaboration with our graphic designer.· Provide daily updates on sample progress to the artistic director.This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive; you will participate in all activities of small design studio,



where the ability to multitask is essential.QualificationsStrong skills in Embroidery and Textile Prints for developing detailed, original textile designs.Knowledge of Textiles and Graphics to bridge material properties with visual design concepts.Proficiency in Graphic Design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) to create and adapt print and pattern files.Experience or strong interest in traditional craftsmanship, sustainable fashion, and responsible production.Ability to work on-site in Bardhaman, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects.Attention to detail, good color and composition sense, and strong organisational and communication skills.Relevant education in textile design, fashion design, graphic design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Prior experience in fashion or textile design is beneficial, particularly in womenswear or artisanal brands.Location and its description7m workshop is our own workshop which was been designed by a french architect, a bio climatic building and a valuable working place with full of day light and fresh natural air. The building itself is an exceptional example of what the mii brand is and its culture.There are 350 employees who work full time in that workshop and we have dedicated samples research and development team working for the mii brand.The creative director is based in Brest, Brittany, France and she travels frequently to the Bardhaman workshop.It is located in Jaugram, 20 kms from the Bardhaman city and 80 kms from Kolkata city.SalaryWe are quite open with this as we prefer to discuss with candidate based on their experience and level. It will be expressed at the time of first interview.Experience and educationMinimum experience required is 6 years. Education background preferred will be textile designing or fine art or equivalent creative education. But we are also open to self taught designer and open to review.
