The ideal candidate will have a strong academic foundation in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field and a keen interest in the life insurance industry.Requirements:Pursuing a degree inActuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance , or a related quantitative discipline.Actively pursuing an actuarial qualification and having cleared1 or more actuarial paperswould be preferred.Strong interest inLife Insurance products , particularly US Life Insurance and/or Annuity products.Basic understanding of actuarial concepts such aspricing, valuation, reserves, risk management, cashflows, and ALM .Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical and structured approach.Good knowledge ofExcel ; exposure to programming languages such asPython, R, SQL, or VBAwould be an advantage.Exposure toAXIS or other actuarial modelling/projection softwarewould be an advantage but is not mandatory.Ability to learn recent concepts, tools,



and processes quickly.Good oral and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.Responsibilities:Assist the actuarial team in theconversion, valuation, and analysis of life insurance blocks of business .Supportmodel testing and validationactivities following model development or conversion.Assist in developing and maintainingcashflow modelsfor insurance liabilities, investments, and derivatives.Supportexperience analysisand investigation of movements in insurance portfolios.Assist in preparingincome statement and balance sheet projectionsfrom financial models.Supportmovement analysisto understand and explain changes in financial and capital positions.Assist with developing and enhancing actuarial models and processes to improveefficiency and accuracy .Support analysis related tonew business, acquisitions, reinsurance transactions, and capital requirements .Assist withfinancial projections, capital analysis, and ad hoc actuarial analysisfor business initiatives.Work closely with experienced actuaries and analysts to develop practical knowledge ofUS Life Insurance, actuarial modelling, valuation, and ALM .
