We work with businesses across Kerala and with clients in Kuwait, and we are establishing a Dubai presence.We are looking for someone to take charge of our accounting and tax compliance practice.The roleThis is a lead role, not a senior executor role. You will own the accounting and compliance function end to end — the quality of what leaves the firm, the deadlines it leaves by, and the development of the team that produces it.You will finalise accounts independently, review the work of junior staff before it reaches a client or a portal, allocate work across the team, and be accountable for the filing calendar across a portfolio of individual, MSME, partnership, LLP and private limited clients.You will report to the Founder & CEO. Company law and ROC work is handled by our Company Secretary associate.What you'll doFinalise accounts independently across proprietorships, partnerships, LLPs and private limited companiesReview and sign off GST returns, TDS returns and income tax computations prepared by the team before filingOwn the compliance calendar and ensure filing deadlines are met without promptingHandle income tax matters including computations, returns, and responses to noticesSupport tax audit under section 44ABAllocate work across the accounting team, set turnaround expectations,



and hold themGuide and develop junior accountants; be the person the team escalates toPrepare and review MIS and management reports for clientsIdentify and resolve technical issues before they become client problemsWhat we're looking forEssentialCA Inter or CMA Inter with completed articleship, or CMA/CA qualified5+ years in a skilled practice

— a CA firm, audit firm or accounting consultancy. In-house industry experience alone is not a fit for this role.Demonstrated ability to finalise accounts independently, without a reviewer above youWorking knowledge of GST, TDS and Income Tax, and current with recent changesExperience reviewing and correcting the work of junior staffProficiency in Tally and Excel; working knowledge of Zoho Books an advantageMalayalam and EnglishPreferredExperience managing a portfolio of clients across multiple entity typesExposure to income tax assessments, notices and departmental correspondenceProject report and CMA data preparationExperience with Gulf or NRI client matters
