Role & Responsibilities

- Lead the complete purchase and procurement function for the machine and tool manufacturing unit.
- Develop procurement strategies for raw materials, components, consumables and factory supplies.
- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiency.
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per production requirements and avoid production delays.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Planning and Quality teams for material planning and inventory management.
- Drive cost reduction, strategic sourcing and value engineering initiatives.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery and compliance.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure adherence to procurement policies and audit requirements.
- Manage import procurement and related documentation, wherever applicable.
- Lead, guide and monitor the purchase team and improve procurement processes.

Preferred Candidate Profile





- 8-11 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in machine, machine tools, engineering or manufacturing industries.
- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred; MBA in Supply Chain/Operations will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of engineering raw materials, machine components, industrial consumables and general factory purchases.
- Proven experience in vendor development, strategic sourcing and price negotiation.
- Hands-on experience in cost reduction and procurement optimization.
- Good understanding of SAP/ERP and procurement systems.
- Robust analytical, negotiation, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Should have experience in team handling and end-to-end purchase operations.
- Candidates with import procurement exposure will be preferred.
- Should be comfortable working 6 days a week, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, in Rajkot.
