Role & responsibilities
- Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models for components, tooling, fixtures and assemblies.
- Create and modify designs based on customer drawings, specifications and engineering requirements.
- Use AutoCAD / SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software for design development.
- Prepare detailed drawings with dimensions, tolerances, GD&T;, surface finish and material specifications.
- Review customer drawings and identify design, dimensional and manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Planning and Tool Room/Machine Shop teams for design feasibility.
- Make necessary design modifications based on production and quality feedback
Preferred candidate profile
Education:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
2–6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing / machining / tooling / engineering design
