CyberHacks

India

Company Description CyberHacks is a cybersecurity company focused on making ethical hacking knowledge accessible to a wide audience. The organization publishes blogs, videos, magazines, and books that cover practical tools and techniques for securing systems. Content is designed to help learners stay current with top trends in cybersecurity and defensive strategies. Team members contribute to educational resources that support both beginners and experienced professionals.

It is also a cybersecurity and ethical hacking YouTube channel with one promise: learn to hack for free. It is run by Nitin Yadav, a working penetration tester, bug bounty hunter and trainer.

With 400+ videos published, the channel is now moving beyond faceless screen tutorials. The next chapter is personality-driven videos that are as entertaining as they are educational, and we want an editor to build that new style with us.

Working at CyberHacks offers the opportunity to help demystify cybersecurity and promote safer digital practices.

Role Description You'll turn raw footage into videos people actually finish watching. That means screen recordings, face-cam, live hacking sessions and new on-camera content, cut for both YouTube and Instagram.

You don't need to know hacking. You do need to be curious about tech and careful with detail, because in this niche one visible password or one wrong character in a command can ruin a video. Raw footage won't always be perfect, so you'll often restructure it into a robust story.

Key responsibilities

- Edit long-form tutorials and hunt episodes: cut dead time, tighten pacing and keep the learning flow easy to follow.
- Make terminals, code and browsers readable on a phone with zoom-ins, pans,

cursor highlights and on-screen command text.
- Blur or redact sensitive data in every frame before export: API keys, tokens, cookies, emails, IP addresses, target domains and client names. This is non-negotiable, and you'll get a checklist of what to look for.
- Add captions, subtitles, text animations, callouts, lower thirds and simple motion graphics.
- Clean up audio (noise, levels, music, sound effects). Sound is half the video.
- Do basic colour correction for face-cam and B-roll.
- Cut Shorts and Reels with a hook in the first 2 seconds, clear captions and a clean loop.
- Export in 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1, and add chapters to long YouTube videos.
- Build and maintain a consistent CyberHacks look: fonts, colours, intro, outro and templates.
- Turn revisions around quickly, meet upload deadlines and keep footage and project files organised.
- Follow tech trends on YouTube and Instagram, and pitch ideas for hooks, formats and thumbnails.

Must have

- Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve: strong
- Adobe After Effects: working knowledge (text animation, callouts, simple motion graphics)

Good to have

- Photoshop or Canva for thumbnails and graphics
- CapCut or VN for fast Shorts edits
- AI editing tools (auto-captions, Descript and similar); we like trying new tools

Who we're looking for

- 0–2 years of video editing experience; freshers with a strong portfolio are welcome.
- A portfolio or showreel is required. Ideally include one tutorial, screen-recording or talking-head edit, and one Short or Reel.
- A strong feel for pacing and storytelling: you know when to cut and when to hold a shot.
- Sharp attention to detail. A typo in a command or one unblurred token is a real problem here.
- Your own laptop or PC that handles 1080p editing (4K is a bonus) and a stable internet connection.
- Reliable with deadlines and clear on WhatsApp and calls.
- Happy to sign an NDA, since you'll see unreleased vulnerability footage.

Bonus points (But not mandatory)

- You can design click-worthy YouTube thumbnails.
- You already watch cybersecurity or tech YouTube.
- Basic camera, lighting and mic know-how, so you can give feedback on raw footage and help on occasional shoot days.

- You've helped grow a YouTube channel or Instagram page before.

What you get

- ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 per month, based on skills, portfolio and the editing test.
- Remote work with flexible hours.
- Real creative input while the channel relaunches; your ideas get used.
- Editor credit in video descriptions and portfolio-worthy work.

How to apply

1. Send your CV and portfolio or showreel (YouTube or Google Drive links).
2. In your message, name one thing you'd change in any recent CyberHacks video. It shows us you've actually watched one. (Its up to you but will increase chances of hiring)
3. Shortlisted candidates get a short editing test with real raw footage, about 1–2 hours of work.
4. Final step: a quick video call, then an offer.
