About the RoleSKIZEN is looking for a Video Editor Intern who can handle fast, clean and engaging short-form video editing, primarily for Instagram Reels and social media content.

The role is focused on practical editing rather than highly cinematic or complicated edits. The editor should be able to take raw footage and turn it into a clean, engaging video with good pacing, captions, music and basic effects.

Responsibilities

- Edit short-form videos and Instagram Reels.
- Cut unnecessary footage, pauses and mistakes.
- Maintain good pacing and flow throughout the video.
- Add captions/subtitles where required.
- Add suitable background music.
- Add basic sound effects.
- Use simple transitions and effects when required.
- Maintain proper framing and aspect ratios for social media.
- Follow the editing style/instructions provided by SKIZEN.
- Make revisions based on feedback.
- Organize raw footage and final project files properly.
- Complete assigned videos within the given deadlines.
- Handle multiple editing tasks when required.

Requirements
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of CapCut or DaVinci Resolve.
- Understanding of basic cuts and timing.




- Ability to add captions/subtitles.
- Basic knowledge of audio and music placement.
- Understanding of framing and social-media video formats.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Reliable internet connection and a system capable of handling video editing.
- Most importantly, responsibility toward deadlines.

What We Look ForThe priority is: Clean edits > complicated editsThe editor does not need to be an advanced cinematic editor.

There is no requirement for:

- Advanced color grading
- Heavy VFX
- Complicated motion graphics
- Extremely advanced transitions
- Cinematic-level post-production

The focus is on making videos that are: Clean → Fast → Engaging → Properly paced → Social-media ready
