Role Description The Vice Chancellor will be the chief academic and administrative leader of Ajay Kumar Garg University and is responsible for setting strategic direction and ensuring alignment with the university's vision and mission. This full time, on-site role, based in Ghaziabad, includes overseeing academic programs, research initiatives, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance across all faculties and departments.

The position involves leading and mentoring senior academic leaders, fostering a culture of innovation and interdisciplinary learning, and strengthening partnerships with industry, government, and global institutions.

The Vice

Chancellor will manage key governance processes, support resource planning and budgeting, represent the University in external forums,



and promote inclusive policies that enhance student experience and faculty development. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing academic performance, chairing high-level meetings, monitoring institutional projects, and driving initiatives that advance the university's reputation and societal impact.

Qualifications

- Proven academic leadership experience at senior levels (such as vice chancellor, pro-vice chancellor, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated expertise in university governance, strategic planning, policy development, and quality assurance in higher education.
- Experience in fostering research and innovation, including developing research programs, securing funding, and encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build partnerships with industry, government bodies, academic institutions, and international organizations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities, with a commitment to transparent, ethical, and inclusive leadership.
- Background in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and academic standards, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.
- Demonstrated commitment to student success, faculty development, diversity, equity, and inclusive campus environments.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively, support infrastructure development, and lead institutional growth initiatives.
