About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Freight Broker / US Logistics Sales Executive to manage the complete sales and freight brokerage cycle for the US logistics market.
The role involves pre-sales prospecting and lead generation, sales conversion, load booking, carrier coordination, shipment tracking, and post-sales customer relationship management. The ideal candidate should be comfortable communicating with US shippers, carriers, and transportation companies, negotiating freight rates, and managing multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-Sales / Lead Generation
- Identify and generate new business opportunities within the US freight and logistics market.
- Conduct outbound cold calls, emails, and follow-ups with potential US shippers and customers.
- Research and identify potential shippers, manufacturers, distributors, brokers, and other logistics customers.
- Understand customer shipping requirements, lanes, freight types, volumes, and frequency.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through regular prospecting.
- Introduce the company's freight brokerage and logistics services to prospective customers.
- Maintain accurate lead and customer information in the CRM.
2. Sales / Business Conversion
- Connect with qualified prospects and understand their transportation requirements.
- Prepare and provide competitive freight quotes based on market conditions and customer requirements.
- Negotiate freight rates, lanes, capacity, and service terms with customers.
- Convert qualified leads into active customers and recurring business.
- Follow up consistently with prospects to close open opportunities.
- Achieve assigned sales, revenue, load booking, and customer acquisition targets.
- Develop long-term relationships with US customers to generate repeat business.
3. Freight Booking & Operations Coordination
- Source and coordinate with reliable US carriers/truck drivers for customer loads.
- Negotiate carrier rates while maintaining the required margin.
- Book loads with appropriate carriers based on lane, equipment, rate, and availability.
- Coordinate between shippers, carriers, and internal operations teams.
- Ensure all required load and carrier information is accurately updated in the TMS/CRM.
- Monitor shipment schedules and proactively communicate any changes or delays.
4. Post-Sales / Customer Management
- Maintain regular communication with customers after load confirmation.
- Track shipments from pickup to delivery and provide timely status updates.
- Handle customer queries, escalations, delays, and service-related issues.
- Coordinate with carriers and operations teams to resolve shipment-related concerns.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery documentation.
- Collect customer feedback and identify opportunities for improving service.
- Maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and long-term accounts.
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and increasing load volume from existing customers.
Required Skills
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Solid US accent understanding and conversational ability.
- Good negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Strong cold-calling and lead-generation skills.
- Ability to handle objections and close sales.
- Customer-focused approach with strong relationship-building skills.
- Good understanding of the US trucking / freight brokerage / logistics industry.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
- Strong follow-up and time-management skills.
- Comfortable working in US night shifts.
