Job Title: Food Processing Trainer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Food Processing Trainer to deliver a practical training programme for women beneficiaries on cold-pressed oil production and husk-based cutlery manufacturing. The trainer will build technical, entrepreneurial and enterprise management skills to enable women to establish and operate sustainable micro-enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver the Food Processing Curriculum through practical, participatory and hands-on training
- Train beneficiaries on cold-pressed oil processing, including raw material selection, cleaning, grading, extraction, filtration, storage and quality management
- Provide hands-on training in cold-press oil machinery operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and safety
- Train women on husk cutlery production, including raw material preparation, moulding, pressing, finishing, quality control and packaging
- Demonstrate appropriate food safety, hygiene, FSSAI requirements and quality standards
- Train beneficiaries on packaging, labelling, branding and product development
- Build enterprise skills including costing, pricing, profit margins, inventory and production planning
- Support participants in understanding marketing, sales, digital marketing and B2B/B2C market linkages
- Conduct practical demonstrations, mock sales, exposure visits and enterprise management exercises
- Maintain attendance, training records, assessments and session-wise reports
- Assess participants' technical skills and provide additional handholding where required
- Coordinate with centre teams for training schedules, beneficiary participation and production-unit activities




- Support documentation of successful products, enterprises and beneficiary success stories

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's/Master's degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Processing, Agriculture, Dairy/Food Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in food processing, cold-pressed oil production, sustainable product manufacturing or enterprise training
- Practical experience in operating and maintaining food-processing machinery is preferred
- Experience working with SHGs, women entrepreneurs, rural communities or livelihood programmes will be an advantage
- Knowledge of FSSAI, food safety, quality control, packaging and labelling
- Experience in husk/biodegradable product manufacturing will be an added advantage

Key Skills Strong practical training and facilitation skills, hands-on knowledge of cold-pressed oil production, knowledge of husk-based cutlery/product manufacturing, ability to explain technical processes in a simple manner, entrepreneurship and business management knowledge, good communication and community engagement skills, training documentation and reporting skills, willingness to conduct field visits and practical demonstrations.

Local language proficiency: Telugu for Shankarpalli; Marathi/Hindi for Pune preferred.
