Technical Support Engineer – Night Shift

Location: Chandigarh Tricity (Zirakpur)

Work Mode: Primarily Work From Home | First 3 days from office | Office visit once a week/as required

Shift: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Compensation: Fixed salary + performance-linked variable component.

About the Role

Wattr.ai is building the digital nervous system for India's water and energy infrastructure. Our connected devices monitor and control pumps, motors and irrigation infrastructure across thousands of field locations.

As a Technical Support Engineer – Night Shift, you will be the first line of technical response for this infrastructure during the night.

This is a high-reliability technical operations role, where you will independently monitor live infrastructure, identify abnormalities, perform remote troubleshooting and coordinate field intervention when required.

At defined monitoring intervals

Review Dashboard → Check System Health → Capture Timestamped Snapshot → Submit Monitoring Record The monitoring frequency may be adjusted based on operational requirements, number of projects/devices and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Dashboard Monitoring

- Monitor assigned Wattr dashboards throughout the night.
- Monitor pump, motor and device health, alarms, telemetry and abnormal conditions across projects.
- Capture dashboard snapshots with system timestamps and submit them through the designated Zoho Form at defined intervals.




- Maintain continuous monitoring discipline and respond immediately to new alerts.

Remote Technical Support
- Analyse dashboard data and telemetry to identify the likely cause of an issue.
- Use approved dashboard control panels for remote intervention.
- Perform device configuration, calibration and other approved remote troubleshooting activities.
- Restart, configure or calibrate devices remotely wherever applicable.
- Verify system performance after every intervention.

Field Coordination
- If an issue cannot be resolved remotely, immediately coordinate with the field team.
- Clearly communicate the diagnosis and required field action.
- Track the intervention and continue monitoring until normal operation is restored.

SLA & Incident Management
- Record detection, acknowledgement, action, escalation and resolution times for significant incidents.
- Ensure issues are handled within defined SLAs.
- Maintain accurate incident records and provide a clear handover of unresolved issues at the end of the shift.

Performance KPIs
- Monitoring Adherence % — completion of scheduled monitoring checks.
- Alert Acknowledgement Time — time taken to acknowledge and begin action on an alert.
- Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) — speed of identifying operational abnormalities.
- Remote Resolution Rate — issues resolved without field intervention.
- SLA Compliance — incidents handled within defined timelines.




- Documentation Accuracy — accuracy of monitoring, incident and handover records.
- Missed Monitoring Intervals — missed or delayed monitoring checks.

What We’re Looking For
- Candidate with a degree/diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field.
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits, voltage/current/power, three-phase systems, motors, pumps, sensors and control panels.
- Comfortable interpreting graphs, telemetry, alarms and dashboard data.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset.
- Highly disciplined and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
- Strong ownership and follow-through until resolution.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with field technicians.
- Flexible and comfortable working the 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM night shift.

Working Conditions
- Primarily Work From Home after initial training.
- First 3 days of training from office.
- Candidate must reside in Chandigarh Tricity (Zirakpur).
- Must be able to visit the office approximately once a week or as required.
- Reliable internet and a suitable work environment for night-shift operations are required.
