Role & responsibilities

- Spearhead comprehensive annual production planning and data-driven commercial analysis for plant operations.
- Lead technical and quality evaluations for premium raw material procurement, optimizing supplier sourcing strategies.
- Formulate detailed cost sheets for plant operations, and captive Power Plants to map and improve operational profitability.
- Direct store inventory and material tracking via strict application of min-max management models to minimize working capital.
- Manage multiple plant /sites administrative functions, spare-parts planning and strategic procurement lifecycles.
- Execute rigorous operational tracking via Root Cause Analysis (RCA), MTBF, MTTR, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) calculations.
- Meeting preparation: Assisting executives in preparing for meetings, including gathering necessary materials and providing concise briefings.
- Taking minutes: Attending meetings to provide support and accurately recording notes and action items.
- Document preparation and organisation: Preparing, formatting, and organizing various documents, reports, presentations, and summaries. Maintaining filing systems: Organizing and maintaining electronic and paper files, ensuring easy retrieval and secure storage of confidential information.
- Data research and compilation: Researching and organizing data to represent senior management, often for reports, presentations, and decision-making. Time optimization: Strategically scheduling in preparation and recovery time for the executive to maximize their efficiency.




- Task prioritisation: Skilfully prioritising tasks, setting timely reminders, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Should have control over site operations from Director Office.

Preferred candidate profile : A preferred candidate profile for a Technical Assistant (TA) to the Director in the thermal power industry requires a unique blend of deep engineering knowledge, data-driven analytical skills, and executive-level communication.

The TA acts as the Directors strategic sounding board, technical gatekeeper, and liaison across plant operations.

Core Objective : To provide high-level technical, operational, and strategic support to the Director. The candidate will streamline decision-making, evaluate plant performance metrics, oversee critical projects, and ensure seamless communication between the executive office and plant operations.

Skilled Experience & Background:

- Industry Tenure: 8 to 12 years of core experience in the Thermal Power Sector (Coal, Gas, or Lignite-based plants).
- Plant Operations: Solid hands-on experience in Operation & Maintenance (O&M;), Commissioning, or Efficiency/Efficiency Optimization of large-capacity thermal units (e.g., 250MW, 500MW, 660MW, or 800MW supercritical units).
- Project Management: Proven track record in managing installations, Renovation & Modernization (R&M;) schemes, or large-scale plant overhauls.
- Corporate Exposure: Prior experience working in a corporate planning, technical services, or engineering cell provides a distinct advantage.
