Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Supply Chain Management role based in Sambalpur. The role involves planning and coordinating end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement of raw materials, vendor management, and monitoring lead times to ensure uninterrupted production.
The Supply
Chain professional will manage inventory levels, track material movements, and optimize warehouse and logistics operations to balance cost, quality, and delivery performance. Daily responsibilities include analyzing demand and supply data,
preparing reports and forecasts, and collaborating with production, quality, finance, and operations teams to resolve bottlenecks and improve process efficiency. The role also requires adherence to company policies and compliance standards, continuous improvement of supply chain practices, and contribution to initiatives that support Sterlite Electric’s growth and reliability goals.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess solid Supply Chain Management and Inventory Management skills, with experience in end-to-end materials planning and control.
- Candidates should possess solid Procurement skills, including vendor evaluation, negotiation, and purchase order management.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills for demand forecasting, cost analysis, and performance reporting.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Relevant skills such as knowledge of ERP or supply chain software, familiarity with manufacturing or capital goods environments, and understanding of logistics and warehousing best practices are beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred, along with prior experience in industrial or electrical manufacturing sectors.
