Role Summary:
Accord Autocomp Pvt. Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of precision sheet metal components, complex sub-assemblies, heat shields, and structural systems for Automotive OEMs, Heavy Machinery, EV, and Defence sectors.
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Manager to oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including raw material procurement (steel/coils), vendor development, inventory management, multi-site logistics, and warehousing. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless material flow to support JIT/JIS automotive production lines while adhering to IATF 16949 standards and driving continuous cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Direct sourcing strategies for raw materials (CRCA/HR steel coils, tubes, hardware), bought-out parts, and specialized secondary processing (CED coating, powder coating, plating).
- Negotiate long-term pricing contracts, lead times, and payment terms with raw material suppliers and sub-contractors to meet profitability target margins.
- Evaluate supplier performance continuously regarding Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service (QCDS).
2. Production Planning & Inventory Control (PPIC)
- Collaborate with Plant Production and Sales teams to convert customer schedules/forecasts into operational Material Requirement Plans (MRP).
- Implement Lean inventory strategies—such as KANBAN,
VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory), and Safety Stock frameworks—to eliminate stock-outs without creating excess working capital ties.
- Monitor Work-In-Progress (WIP) and Finished Goods (FG) inventory levels across internal manufacturing plants and external warehouses.
3. Vendor Development & Risk Management
- Identify, audit, and onboard Tier-2 and Tier-3 suppliers following automotive quality frameworks (PPAP, APQP, IATF 16949 standards).
- Mitigate supply disruption risks through dual-sourcing strategies and active contingency planning.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to address non-conforming materials and track Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR).
4. Multi-Plant Logistics & Warehousing
- Oversee inbound raw material logistics and outbound distribution networks connecting manufacturing facilities (Pune, Hosur, Jamshedpur) and customer assembly plants.
- Optimize freight routes, container utilization, and 3PL vendor contracts to control freight costs.
- Ensure material handling and warehouse safety standards meet standard automotive safety guidelines.
5. Compliance & Process Improvement
- Maintain standard operational procedures (SOPs)
compliant with IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001/14001 audit requirements.
- Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse management, inventory accuracy, and cycle times.
- Leverage ERP (SAP/ERP systems) for tracking purchase orders, stock levels, and supply chain KPIs.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: DME or Bachelor’s degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical
- Experience: 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in supply chain management within the automotive sheet metal, stamping, or auto-components manufacturing domain.
- Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of automotive steel procurement, press shop tooling, CED coating, and secondary processes.
- Hands-on proficiency with ERP software (SAP MM module preferred) and advanced MS Excel.
- Robust understanding of APQP, PPAP, 8D problem-solving, and IATF 16949 requirements.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional negotiation, strategic sourcing, and vendor relationship management abilities.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and crisis management capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
