Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, monitor, and manage enterprise backup solutions and infrastructure.
- Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot backup failures, performance, connectivity, agent, snapshot, and storage issues.
- Perform file, application, VM, system, and bare-metal restores.
- Configure backup policies, schedules, retention, repositories, encryption, and replication.
- Manage backup servers, agents, proxies, repositories, and storage infrastructure.
- Support VM, physical server, and cloud backup environments.
- Conduct regular backup health checks, verification, and recovery testing.
- Support Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity, RPO/RTO, and off-site backup requirements.
- Maintain backup documentation, operational reports, and incident records.
- Coordinate with customers, internal IT teams, vendors, and OEM support teams.
- Participate in backup optimization, capacity planning, and troubleshooting activities.

Required Technical Skills Hands-on experience with one or more enterprise backup/data protection platforms:

- Veeam
- Acronis
- Veritas Backup Exec / NetBackup
- Commvault
- Dell EMC Data Protection
- Other enterprise backup solutions

Infrastructure Knowledge

- VMware vSphere / ESXi
- Microsoft Hyper-V




- Windows & Linux Server
- Active Directory
- SAN / NAS / RAID / Storage
- SMB / NFS / iSCSI
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Cloud backup and repository concepts
- Full, Incremental, Differential & Synthetic Full backups
- Backup encryption, replication, retention, recovery, and verification
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity concepts
- RPO & RTO

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in Backup / Data Protection.
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of Windows Server and virtualization technologies.
- Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with technical teams.

Preferred Certifications Candidates with any of the following certifications will be preferred:

- Veeam VMCE
- Acronis Certification
- Veritas Certification
- Commvault Certification
- Microsoft Certification
- VMware Certification
- Other relevant Backup / Data Protection certifications

Pay: ₹318,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
