Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Primary SST (Social Studies) Teacher to teach young learners and develop their understanding of History, Geography, Civics, and Social & Environmental Studies in accordance with the ICSE curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging SST lessons for Primary students as per the ICSE curriculum.
- Teach concepts related to History, Geography, Civics, Culture, Environment, and Society in an age-appropriate manner.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans, worksheets, activities, presentations, and other teaching-learning resources.
- Use interactive and activity-based teaching methods to make concepts easy and compelling for students.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking, observation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Conduct classroom activities, projects, quizzes, discussions, and presentations to enhance learning.
- Assess students through classwork, homework, worksheets, tests, projects, and periodic assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of students' academic progress and provide timely feedback.
- Identify students who require additional academic support and provide appropriate guidance.
- Maintain effective classroom management and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate students' academic progress when required.




- Collaborate with other teachers and the academic team for lesson planning and school activities.
- Participate actively in school events, exhibitions, field trips, celebrations, and co-curricular activities.
- Stay updated with teaching methodologies and continuously work towards improving classroom practices.
- Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to the school's academic policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred/required as per school norms.
- Prior experience teaching SST/Social Studies at the Primary level, preferably in an ICSE school.
- Good knowledge of the ICSE curriculum and primary-level pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to use technology and digital teaching tools effectively.
- Creative, patient, enthusiastic, and child-friendly approach towards teaching.

Preferred Experience 2–5 years of teaching experience in a reputed school, preferably with ICSE Primary section experience.
