Role & responsibilities
- Develop and execute validation plans, test procedures, and qualification reports.
- Perform functional, performance, environmental, and reliability testing of power electronic assemblies.
- Test and characterize SMPS, DC-DC converters, AC-DC power supplies, battery chargers, and inverter systems.
- Conduct efficiency, thermal, load regulation, line regulation, and transient response testing.
- Perform EMI/EMC pre-compliance and qualification testing.
- Analyze switching waveforms, power losses, and thermal behavior using advanced test equipment.
- Investigate failures, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop automated test setups using LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, or similar platforms.
- Generate detailed test reports and support design verification (DVT), product validation (PVT), and qualification activities.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, PCB design, and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Preferred candidate profile
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Power Electronics.
- Experience: 3 to 6 years in power electronics testing, validation, or reliability engineering.
- Domain: Direct experience in defense electronics, aerospace power systems, industrial power supplies, EV systems, or high-reliability electronics.
