About The Role We are seeking an experienced EDI Java-SQL Developer with expertise in AI and Azure to join our dynamic team at Awign. This is a permanent position based in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, or Pune, offering an exciting opportunity to work on healthcare EDI solutions that impact critical healthcare transactions.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of relevant experience, demonstrating strong proficiency in Java, SQL, and healthcare EDI integrations. You will collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, and quality engineering teams to develop, enhance, and support healthcare EDI features, utilizing Azure cloud services and AI-assisted development tools to optimize productivity and quality.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 10+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on Java and SQL.
- Proven experience in EDI development and healthcare integrations, particularly with HIPAA transactions.
- Strong understanding of healthcare EDI standards such as 837, 835, 834, 270/271,



and 276/277.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and web services.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform and Azure DevOps for development and deployment.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and demos.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Azure AI.

Responsibilities

- Develop and enhance healthcare EDI features based on product backlog requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand user stories and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions using Java, SQL, APIs, and integration technologies to facilitate healthcare EDI transactions.
- Work with healthcare EDI transactions and integrations, ensuring seamless data exchange between systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and defects in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with QE teams during testing phases, supporting defect resolution and quality assurance processes.
- Participate actively in backlog grooming, sprint planning,



and sprint demos to ensure project transparency and stakeholder alignment.
- Deploy new features and updates to production environments, utilizing Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve coding efficiency, code quality, and project delivery timelines.
- Maintain documentation related to system design, development processes, and deployment procedures.
