Role Description The Solar Technician is a full-time, on-site role located in Pune City, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing rooftop solar installations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site visits, performing plant audits, carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, and supporting services such as earthing top-ups, single module washes, and BESS installation.

The role involves collecting and verifying generation and system health data, assisting in anomaly detection, and coordinating with the Solabrix operations team to ensure timely service delivery.

The Solar

Technician will interact with plant owners on-site, explain findings in explicit terms,



and follow safety and quality standards during all field activities. This position contributes directly to reliable long-term solar performance and supports the distributed workforce model that powers Solabrix’s service network.

Qualifications

- Technical skills in solar PV systems, including installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform on-site inspections, diagnostics, and audits of rooftop solar plants, including visual checks, electrical testing, and safety assessments.
- Knowledge of electrical systems related to solar plants, such as inverters, wiring, earthing, and battery energy storage (BESS) components.
- Familiarity with using mobile apps or digital tools for data capture, reporting, and coordination with the central operations team.
- Understanding of safety protocols for working at heights, with electrical equipment, and in outdoor rooftop environments.
- Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related field; relevant certifications in solar PV installation or maintenance are an advantage.
- Prior experience in field service, solar O&M;, or electrical maintenance is preferred, especially in rooftop installations.
- Strong communication skills, customer-focused mindset, and ability to work independently in a distributed field workforce.
- Comfort with traveling across Pune City for on-site work and flexibility to respond to urgent service requests.
