Role Overview

Position: Site Execution Engineer

Employment Type: Full-time (Field/Site-Based with Remote Reporting)

Location: Project Sites / Remote Operations

StructuFix is seeking a proactive Site Execution Engineer to manage on-site technical operations and structural execution workflows. In this role, you will oversee site-level activities including the fabrication and erection of Mild Steel (MS) tanks, heavy structural steelworks, and specialized civil repair/construction projects.

You will act as the primary site technical authority—translating engineering drawings into high-quality execution, managing material reconciliations, ensuring QA/QC compliance with client engineers, and maintaining explicit execution protocols and measurement sheets.

Key Responsibilities 1. Site Execution & Technical Supervision

- Supervise and guide site technicians,



fabricators, and sub-contractors to ensure work is executed precisely according to approved engineering drawings, method statements, and specifications.
- Oversee site activities including plate rolling, fitting, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), MIG/FCAW welding, alignment, and erection of MS storage tanks and structural steelwork.
- Maintain rigorous standards for structural alignment, fit-up tolerances, and workplace safety protocols.

2. Material Planning & Client Coordination

- Extract material requirement lists directly from approved Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Bill of Materials (BOM), and execution drawings.
- Coordinate with client storekeepers and project managers to schedule timely material indenting, inspection, and issue from stores to eliminate site downtime.
- Perform routine material reconciliation and track waste or surplus on-site.

3. Quality Assurance & Documentation

- Collaborate with client QA/QC engineers to conduct mandatory stage-gate inspections, hold-point verifications, and non-destructive testing (NDT) checks.
- Draft and maintain formal site documentation, including Joint Inspection Protocols, Request for Inspections (RFIs), daily work progress reports, and hindrance logs.




- Prepare accurate monthly measurement sheets and draft Running Account (RA) bill documentation based on verified field quantities.

4. Stakeholder & Schedule Alignment

- Liaise between client representatives, resident construction managers, and internal project leads to maintain milestone targets.
- Identify potential execution bottlenecks proactively and propose engineering field adjustments to maintain schedule integrity.

Qualifications & Core Competencies

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree (B.E. / B.Tech) or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Domain Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience in site execution, heavy steel fabrication, storage tank erection, or structural repair/retrofitting in industrial or warehousing environments.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and execute from complex structural shop drawings, layout plans, and weld symbols.
- Familiarity with relevant IS/BS/AWS codes for structural steelwork, fabrication tolerances, and welding procedures.
- Basic working knowledge of CAD platforms (e.g., AutoCAD) and MS Office (Excel/Word) for documentation and measurement tracking.
- Field Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to manage site labor while maintaining clear, professional communication with client engineering teams.
- Execution Mindset: Independent problem-solver aligned with StructuFix’s commitment to preventive engineering, site safety, and execution quality.
