SHOWRUNNER’S ASSISTANT – CREATIVE

Engagement: 10-Day Residential Camp / Sports Reality Show

Role Overview The Showrunner’s Assistant – Creative will work closely with the Showrunner and Creative Director to support the creative planning, development and execution of GURUKUL.

The role involves coordinating across creative and production teams, documenting creative decisions, developing show materials, and ensuring that the planned content and storytelling are effectively executed on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Showrunner in developing and maintaining the overall creative vision and format of GURUKUL.
- Attend creative meetings and maintain detailed notes, decisions and action points.
- Prepare and update:
- Episode outlines
- Daily show flows
- Challenge and game briefs
- Segment structures
- Guru/Mentor briefs
- Anchor briefs
- Contestant journey notes
- Elimination and selection formats
- Daily shoot flows
- Coordinate between the Showrunner, Creative, Direction, Production, Games/Challenges, Art, Camera and Post-Production teams.
- Track the implementation of approved creative decisions during the camp.
- Assist with scripting introductions, links, announcements, voiceovers, promos and special segments.
- Research cricket, sports-reality formats, challenges, storytelling ideas and relevant cultural references.
- Maintain updated versions of creative documents and ensure the production team is working with the latest material.
- Assist during rehearsals, technical recce, camera trials and shoot days.
- Support the Showrunner during PPMs, rehearsals and live/near-live execution.




- Monitor contestant and mentor interactions and highlight potential storytelling opportunities.
- Coordinate with the editing team on episode structure, story beats and continuity.
- Prepare a daily creative report covering planned activities, execution and pending actions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding contestants, creative plans, formats and production information.

Candidate Profile
- Experience: 2–5 years in television, reality shows, OTT, advertising, entertainment or sports production.
- Strong understanding of unscripted and reality-show storytelling.
- Excellent writing, documentation and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills in Hindi and English.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Comfortable working long hours in a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment.
- Proactive, organised and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Cricket/sports knowledge will be an advantage.

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced sports reality-show setting involving daily cricket activities, challenges, match events, contestant interactions and entertainment/reality-show content. The candidate should be comfortable working closely with the production team throughout the camp and adapting quickly to changes in the daily show plan.

Pay: ₹2,000.00 - ₹5,000.00 per day
