Narayani Decor and Furnishing is a premium home furnishing, interior and home décor showroom in Jharsuguda, offering a wide range of furnishing products, furniture, curtains, home décor, artificial plants, flooring, wallpapers, interior products and related solutions.

We are looking for an experienced, responsible and energetic Showroom Manager who can independently manage the day-to-day operations of our showroom and help us grow our sales and customer base.

Job Responsibilities1. Sales & Customer Management

- Take responsibility for achieving showroom sales targets.
- Actively engage with customers and ensure an excellent shopping experience.
- Understand customer requirements and guide them towards suitable products.
- Handle important and high-value customers personally whenever required.
- Follow up with customers, enquiries and pending orders.
- Encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Monitor sales performance of individual staff members and help them improve.

1. Staff Management

- Supervise and manage the showroom team on a daily basis.
- Allocate responsibilities and work areas to staff.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, discipline and performance.
- Train staff regarding products, customer handling and sales techniques.
- Ensure that every customer entering the showroom is attended to properly.
- Maintain a positive, professional and productive working setting.

1. Showroom Operations

- Take complete responsibility for smooth day-to-day showroom functioning.
- Ensure that products are properly displayed, arranged and priced.
- Maintain showroom cleanliness, presentation and visual standards.
- Ensure that the showroom is properly opened and closed every day.
- Coordinate with the owner regarding important operational matters.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve routine issues professionally.

1. Inventory & Stock Management

- Monitor stock levels and identify fast-moving and slow-moving products.




- Coordinate stock checking and physical inventory.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of products.
- Identify damaged, missing or misplaced products and report them immediately.
- Coordinate with billing and store staff for accurate stock movement.
- Help maintain proper records of inward and outward stock.

1. Billing & Cash/Payment Coordination

- Supervise the billing process and ensure billing accuracy.
- Coordinate with billing staff regarding orders, discounts and payments.
- Ensure that approved discounts and pricing are followed.
- Monitor pending payments and customer orders.
- Coordinate with the owner/accounts team regarding daily sales and collection information.

1. Product Knowledge

The candidate should develop strong knowledge of our product categories, including:
- Curtains and blinds
- Sofa covers and furnishing fabrics
- Bedsheets, cushions, comforters and other home furnishings
- Sofas and furniture
- Home décor and decorative products
- Artificial plants and planters
- Wallpapers and wall décor
- Flooring and interior products
- Mirrors, lamps, showpieces and other décor items

The manager should be capable of learning new products quickly and ensuring that the entire sales team also understands the products.
1. Reporting & Coordination

- Prepare and maintain daily/weekly sales and operational reports.
- Report important customer enquiries, sales opportunities and operational issues to the owner.
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers and staff whenever required.
- Track pending orders and ensure timely completion and delivery.




- Identify opportunities to increase sales and improve showroom operations.

Candidate Requirements We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in showroom, retail, furniture, furnishing, interior, lifestyle or similar businesses.
- Strong in sales and customer handling.
- Good at managing and motivating a team.
- Confident, well-spoken and presentable.
- Responsible and capable of taking ownership of the showroom.
- Good at problem-solving and decision-making.
- Comfortable using computers and basic software.
- Able to maintain discipline and follow company procedures.
- Willing to learn about a wide variety of products.
- Comfortable working in a target-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in furniture, home furnishing, interior products, curtains, décor, retail showroom or lifestyle stores will be preferred.

What We Expect From the Manager The selected candidate will be expected to take ownership of the showroom's daily functioning, rather than simply supervise employees.

The ideal candidate should be capable of ensuring that:

Customers are attended → Products are properly presented → Sales opportunities are converted → Staff perform properly → Orders are completed → Stock is controlled → Customers leave satisfied.

The manager will work closely with the owner and will have an important role in the future growth of Narayani Decor and Furnishing.

Compensation

₹13,000 – ₹18,000 per month, depending on experience, communication skills, sales ability and overall suitability.

Performance-based incentives may be provided based on the candidate's role and performance.
