Role & responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day Scrap Yard operations.

- Handle scrap receiving, unloading, segregation, grading and stacking.

- Ensure proper identification and quality of scrap for SMS/EAF operations.

- Monitor scrap inventory and material movement.

- Coordinate with SMS/EAF for timely scrap availability and charging.

- Ensure safety, housekeeping and compliance within the Scrap Yard.

- Lead and supervise the scrap yard team.

Preferred candidate profile

- Candidates with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Scrap Yard operations in a steel plant.

- Alloy Steel manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

- Robust practical knowledge of different scrap grades, quality identification and segregation.

- Experience in coordinating with SMS/EAF operations.

- Candidates with good team handling, communication and coordination skills preferred.
