About The Team The Direct Taxation team plays a critical role in ensuring the organization's tax compliance, governance, and risk management framework. The team partners closely with Finance, Legal, Business, Payroll, and external advisors to manage direct tax compliance, tax litigation, tax reporting, and advisory matters across the organization. The team also drives process improvements and automation initiatives to strengthen efficiency, compliance, and business support.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Direct Tax professional who can lead end-to-end direct tax operations for a large and dynamic organization. The ideal candidate should bring deep expertise in Income Tax regulations, tax compliance, litigation management, tax accounting, and stakeholder management. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, drive process excellence, and lead a high-performing team while ensuring adherence to evolving tax regulations.

Your Role

- Responsible for end-to-end compliances in Income Tax:
- Annual compliances – Income Tax Return, Tax audit & related certifications, Statement of Financial Transactions, foreign tax credit, Transfer Pricing, Master File & Country–by-country reporting, Advance Tax
- Monthly & Quarterly TDS / TCS compliances including payroll taxation
- Compliances in respect of dividend distribution to shareholders

- Responsible for handling assessments & appeals including appeals before Tribunal, appeals / writ petitions before High Court, etc.
- Should be able to co-ordinate with consultants, income tax department officials in respect of litigations, refund claims, lower deduction certificates, etc.




- Should possess strong expertise in advisories on Income Tax provisions including tax treaties
- Ensure appropriate workings for income tax & deferred tax provisions in books of accounts, determination of contingent liabilities & appropriate reporting of tax issues in the company’s financial statements
- Responsible for implementation of budget amendments in TDS, if any, every year
- Should be able to handle time-bound automation projects in direct tax activities

You're The Right Fit If

- Qualification: Chartered Accountant with relevant experience in Direct Taxation
- Should be well versed in tax concepts & should possess strong technical knowledge in Income Tax provisions
- Working knowledge in SAP preferable
- Candidate should have valuable communication & interpersonal skills to co-ordinate with internal & external stakeholders
- Candidate should be a team leader capable of managing a team
