Role Description The Senior Food Technologist is a full-time, in office role based in Tiruvallur. This role involves leading the development and optimization of plant-based ingredients, dehydrated powders, and functional flours, from concept through pilot testing and scale-up.

The Senior Food

Technologist will design and conduct laboratory experiments, oversee sensory evaluations, and collaborate with production teams to ensure process efficiency and consistent product quality. The position includes establishing and monitoring quality control protocols, supporting compliance with food safety standards, and documenting technical findings and specifications.



The role also requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams in R&D;, procurement, and marketing to align product development with market and customer needs.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Food Technology, with experience applying food science principles to plant-based ingredients and processed foods.
- Hands-on Laboratory Skills, including formulation, pilot-scale trials, and use of analytical instruments relevant to food processing.
- Proficiency in Sensory Evaluation methods to assess product attributes, consumer acceptability, and product improvements.
- Experience in Quality Control, including setting specifications, monitoring production quality, and supporting food safety and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated Research and Development (R&D;) experience in creating or improving food products, processes, and functional ingredients.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- Ability to interpret technical data, prepare clear reports, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in plant-based or ingredient-focused food manufacturing is an advantage, along with familiarity with sustainable and responsible sourcing practices.
