? Hiring: Senior Databricks Engineer – SAS Modernisation & Migration

We are looking for an experienced Senior Databricks Engineer with strong expertise in Databricks, SAS, PySpark, Python, and Azure to modernise and migrate SAS workloads into scalable Databricks solutions.

? Experience: 10+ Years (Strictly no profiles below 10 years)

? Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Only

? Location: Pan India

? Responsibilities:

• Analyse the existing SAS estate , including jobs, datasets, macros, dependencies, interfaces, and business logic.

• Migrate and re-engineer SAS workloads to Azure Databricks using PySpark and Spark SQL.

• Develop scalable Delta Lake pipelines, Databricks Workflows, and Lakehouse solutions .

• Perform SAS vs Databricks validation and reconciliation , including record counts, aggregations, and business logic validation.

- Implement governance, performance optimisation, scalability, and cost optimisation for Databricks solutions.

• Support UAT, production deployment, cutover, troubleshooting, and post-production support .

? Mandatory Skills:

• 6+ years of hands-on Databricks experience with Azure Databricks / Databricks Lakehouse .

• Minimum 3+ years of strong SAS experience , including Base SAS, DATA Step, PROC SQL, Macros, and SAS Enterprise Guide .

• Strong hands-on expertise in PySpark, Python, and Spark SQL .

• Strong knowledge of Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks Workflows, and Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) .

• Experience in SAS to Databricks / SAS to PySpark migration or data-platform modernisation projects.

• Good experience in CI/CD, Git, performance tuning,



production support, reconciliation, and troubleshooting .

• Experience with SAS Grid / SAS Viya .

- Knowledge of SAS batch scheduling, job dependencies, datasets, libraries, and file processing.

• Strong understanding of data lineage, UAT, business sign-off, and production cutovers .

• Experience working in large enterprise migration and modernisation programs .
