Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support accounting operations for U.S. and Canadian entities.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in corporate accounting operations, including cash management, invoice processing, expense accounting, journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
The candidate should also have mandatory audit exposure , with an understanding of end-to-end financials, accounting processes and compliance requirements. Exposure to Intellectual Property, Brand Protection or Research will be prioritized.
The role will involve managing day-to-day accounting activities, supporting month-end and year-end closing, coordinating payment processes, handling Accounts Payable queries, maintaining reconciliations, supporting audits and collaborating with teams across regions.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
Manage day-to-day accounting operations for U.S. and Canadian entities.
Prepare and maintain employee expense reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
Manage accounting activities related to cash, invoices and expenses.
Perform journal entries including accruals, prepayments and adjustments.
Ensure accounting records are accurate and complete.
Accounts Payable & Payments
Support invoice approvals through SAP.
Handle Accounts Payable queries and coordinate their resolution.
Coordinate weekly payment proposals.
Process payments through banking platforms.
Maintain accurate payment and invoice records.
Financial Close & Reporting
Assist with month-end closing activities.
Support year-end closing activities.
Review accounting entries and reconciliations as part of the closing process.
Collaborate with regional teams for accounting and reporting requirements.
Support timely and accurate financial reporting activities.
Audit & Compliance
Support statutory and internal audit processes.
Prepare audit documentation and supporting schedules.
Coordinate with auditors and respond to audit queries.
Assist in resolving audit-related requirements and queries.
Apply audit understanding to ensure an end-to-end view of financials and compliance.
Regional & Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with teams across different regions for accounting and reporting requirements.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding invoices, payments, reconciliations and accounting matters.
Communicate accounting requirements and resolve queries effectively.
Support finance teams with accurate and timely financial information.

Candidate Requirements
3–5 years of experience in corporate accounting.
Strong hands-on experience in accounting operations.
Experience handling cash,
invoices, expenses, journal entries and reconciliations.
Exposure to Accounts Payable and General Ledger processes.
Mandatory statutory or internal audit experience.
Strong understanding of end-to-end financials and accounting processes.
Strong Excel skills.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple accounting activities and deadlines.
Willingness to work in US-centric working hours .
